Focal point for zoom-in animations
When using the zoom-in animation, you can now set a focal point – a spot on the image where the animation should lead.
This helps avoid cases where an important part of the photo (like a face near the edge) gets cut off during zooming. It’s a small addition that gives creators more control and precision.

Muted video option
Some newsrooms asked for the ability to produce videos without voice-over.
Even if the narration is generated, you can now mute it – resulting in a video with background music, moving slides, and captions, but no spoken voice.
Perfect for cases where subtitles or social formats work better without narration.

Narrower caption line in horizontal videos
In horizontal videos, caption lines are now slightly narrower, which makes reading easier and more comfortable.
Instead of stretching across the full width, text is centered and visually balanced for better legibility.

Background videos available in the gallery
When a video is uploaded or generated from an image and used as a background, it’s now automatically added to the gallery.
This means it can be reused across different slides – for example, cropped differently or repurposed without re-uploading or re-generating it from scratch.

Clearer naming in the interface
We’ve refined some microcopy and terminology across the app to make it more intuitive:
- Scenario now refers to the entire script text for the voice-over.
- Voice-over text means the spoken narration itself.
- On teaser videos, the slide text elements are now consistently named: intro text (top) and call to action (bottom, e.g., “Link in comments”).
Small UX copy changes, but they make the workflow more predictable and clear.
Other fixes
We’ve also removed a few minor bugs related to importing videos from social media and editing text on the final slide in teaser videos.
A smaller update, but packed with useful details that improve control, readability, and reusability in everyday work.
Flipatic keeps evolving step by step – so that your newsroom can focus on creating, not adjusting.
